Carriage Association of America
The Carriage Association of America is dedicated to the restoration, preservation and use of horse-drawn carriage and sleighs. The CAA sponsors carriage driving events and has an excellent listing of service providers and other suppliers of interest to the driving community. Their site also has a listing of Museums throughout the United States that have carriages in their collection.
Carriage Museum of America
The Carriage Museum of America is a Library of accurate technical information related to animal-drawn vehicles and related subjects. The library includes materials from the library collection of Thomas Ryder, the Paul Downing Collection, Richard Harrington, Ken Sowles and others. Books and reprints of old catalogues and other historical documents area available through the CMA.
Driving for the Disabled
United States Driving for the Disabled, Inc. provides training for drivers and instructors at their national headquarters at the Gayla Driving Center in the Kentucky.
Maine Community Heritage Project
The Maine Community Heritage Project is a partnership between Maine Historical Society and the Maine State Library, and is funded by a National Leadership grant from the Institute of Museum and Library Services. It promotes community through the exploration of local history and fosters collaborations between historical societies, public libraries, and schools. Community teams, such as Cumberland and North Yarmouth (including Skyline Farm), digitize local historical collections and exhibit them with supporting text on Maine Memory Network.
Maine Driving Club
Maine Driving Club's mission is to encourage and promote the sport of equine driving. The club offers training, education, and information to its members in the various phases of pleasure and competitive driving, as well as pleasure horse ownership. MDC provides a forum for people interested in the sport of driving in the State of Maine to come together for social activities and to share ideas and information.
Norlands Living History Museum
Located in Livermore Falls, Maine, Norlands Living History Museum is the ancestral home of the Washburn family. Visitors can experience first had the rigors of Northern New England farm life. Weather permitting, sleigh rides are often times offered in the winter season.
The Owls Head Transportation Museum
The Owls Head Transportation Museum is located along mid-coast Maine in Owls Head, Maine, near Rockland. The museums extensive collections show the history of transportation and include human and other animal powered vehicles, automobiles, airplanes and more. Many examples of antique engines are displayed. The Museum has many special events throughout the year and offers an extensive array of educational programs.

The Royal River Conservation Trust works to conserve the natural, historic, scenic and recreational values of the Royal River region for all residents and visitors.
Seal Cove Auto Museum
Seal Cove Auto Museum offers a rare look at the very earliest days of the automobile. On display are cars from The Brass Era (1895-1917), that time when electric and steam cars were trimmed with shining brass and maneuvered by right hand drive. Many of these automobiles have been restored to world class condition, while others remain in their original, unrestored condition. Early motorcycles compliment the exhibit. Antique car enthusiasts as well as those who simply enjoy cars from the past will delight in the beauty, mystery and romance of this unique collection. The museum is located on the 'quietside' of Mt. Desert Island, home to beautiful Acadia National Park.

Victoria Mansion, also known as the Morse-Libby House, it is the finest example of residential design from the pre-Civil War era in America. With superb architecture and well-preserved original interiors that were among the most lavish and sophisticated in their day, it is an unparalleled document of America's highest aspirations in architecture, interior design, and the decorative arts.
