Our 11th annual 5K Trail Run/Walk was held on a beautiful September day! The race challenged all ages from 4-74! $100 gift certificates to Marathon Sports were awarded to the top finishers and sweet and savory pies were given to finishers in 8 age categories. After a beautiful rendition of the Star Spangled Banner sung by the Greely High School Madrigal Singers, a kid's fun run started off race day and the 5K Trail Run blasted off shortly thereafter. The race loop traveled through Skyline's fields and woods and through The Yarmouth Water District Trails. Julie Egdahl, a Skyline Farm Trustee dressed up as a horse, now named "Skylar", and led the kids fun run. Coffee & doughnuts plus bluegrass music by Maine Street Music helped make this a festive, memorable day!
