Soup & Cider Day with North Yarmouth Historical Society Sunday, Oct. 20, from 12-3 pm

posted Sep 20, 2019, 6:18 AM by John Sowles

Come celebrate autumn a this family-friendly, annual collaboration between North Yarmouth Historical Society and Skyline Farm!

    • Cider pressing
    • Potluck soup & breads
    • Skyline's museum exhibit 'Ladies & Gentlemen' is open from 1-4 pm. Come take a look.

Donations are gratefully accepted ... dress warmly ... pitch in to help us work the press! Hope to see you there.

Beautiful Skyline Farm, North Yarmouth Historical's venerable cider press‚ and bushels of apples from Hansel's Orchard are the perfect combination for a brisk Maine October day. This is fall at its best!

Come pitch apples into the hopper of the cider press, help turn the crank, and watch the liquid gold pour away. There will be plenty of cider for all and delicious homemade soup and breads, too.

Soup & Cider Day is traditionally a real community affair where a few good cooks contribute soup/chowder/chicken pie and cornbread/rolls. Each year brings a new culinary delight, thanks to talented and generous local kitchen experts.

This beloved event is open to all. Walk Skyline's trails… peek into the museum... have a hearty lunch ... drink 100% fresh cider ... pick some apples down the road at Hansel's Orchard.
