Three New Winter Exhibits – “Evolution”, “The Private Stable,” and “Breyer Models”

posted Jan 6, 2018, 6:53 AM by John Sowles   [ updated Jan 23, 2018, 2:06 PM ]
Opening on Sleigh Day, Saturday, Feb. 10, from 12-3 p.m. and thereafter on Sundays, Feb. 11 through March 25, 1-4 p.m., or by appointment. Admission is free, but donations are very much appreciated to help us improve our exhibits and educational programs.

“Evolution” emphasizes the development of two classic sleigh lines; the Portland Cutter and Albany Sleigh with some deviation.

“The Private Stable” Skyline is a new permanent exhibit of rare and unusual “appointments” that would have been used in a private stable, many signed.  From time to time the stable will have a live horse.

“Breyer models” and unique scale vehicles assembled by Triple Mountain Model Horses of Hiram, Maine is a special exhibit that you are unlikely to see anywhere else.
