Carriage Association of America:

The Carriage Association of America is dedicated to the restoration, preservation and use of horse-drawn carriage and sleighs. The CAA sponsors carriage driving events and has an excellent listing of service providers and other suppliers of interest to the driving community. Carriage Museum of America:

The Carriage Museum of America is a Library of accurate technical information related to animal-drawn vehicles and related subjects. The library includes materials from the library collection of Thomas Ryder, the Paul Downing Collection, Richard Harrington, Ken Sowles and others. Driving for the Disabled:

United States Driving for the Disabled, Inc. provides training for drivers and instructors at their national headquarters at the Gayla Driving Center in the Kentucky. www.usdfd.org

Norlands Living History Museum:

Located in Livermore Falls, Maine, Norlands is the ancestral home of the Washburn family. Visitors can experience first had the rigors of Northern New England farm life. Weather permitting, sleigh rides are often times offered in the winter season. www.norlands.org

The Owls Head Transportation Museum:

The Owls Head Transportation Musuem is located along mid-coast Maine in Owls Head, Maine, near Rockland. The museums extensive collections show the history of transportation and include human amd other animal powered vehicles, automobiles, airplanes and more. Many examples of antique engines are displayed. The Musuem has many special events throughout the year and offers an extensive array of educational programs. www.ohtm.org

Willowbrook Museum Village:

Escape to the country and experience 19th century Yankee ingenuity at its best! Fun for the whole family, with 56 horse-drawn sleighs and carriages, an 1849 Concord stagecoach, an 1894 carousel, gas engines, a "roadable" airplane, and historic trade shops are just a few of the delightful displays you'll see!
