> “Summer Fair” Carriage Exhibit

The new display at the Carriage Museum portrays a snapshot of a typical day at the fair in the early 1900’s, even a tailgate picnic reminiscent of today’s “parking lot” barbecues held before a sports event. Free admission, donations gratefully accepted. Info: Greg Cuffey, (207) 239-5782

> Celebrate Horses & Carriage Driving

When: When: May 17 (rain date: May 18), 1 to 4 pm
Where: Skyline Farm
Maine Driving Club and Skyline Farm co-host a celebration for the 1st Annual National Carriage & Driving Month, the creative idea of Carriage Association of America (CAA). Visit various “stations” to learn about carriages and driving horses. Admission is $5/car or $3 pp. Take a horse-drawn wagon ride down The Lane for $5 pp (free for kids 5 and under). Welcome back Phil Stanton, auctioneer from Falmouth, Massachusetts who knows carriages and sleighs. Come find that carriage, sleigh, antique or collectible to add to your collection or get you in the driver’s seat! > Lobster Bake, Concert & Silent Auction - 6th annual

When: July 12, 5 pm
Where: Skyline Farm
Come see old friends and meet new ones while enjoying hors d’oeuvres, drinks, and a fully catered meal (lobster or a turf option), and live entertainment. Where: Skyline Farm
317 Main Street, a community music center, and Skyline Farm are teaming up to present this collaborative, community festival featuring acoustic music, www.henryfest.com. Food available. Carriage rides through the field available (separate fee). Advance tickets are available at 317 Main Street, Yarmouth or Ames Farm Center, North Yarmouth. Admission fees are: Family $40, Individual $20, Student $10. There is a $5 discount if tickets are purchased by July 4th. Where: Skyline Farm
A Country Drive, Picnic and Sporting Afternoon, an old-fashioned day of carriage driving. Spectators can view the horse-drawn vehicles as they are driven in the ring and down country roads.
